“April Madness” for NBA’s HORSE Challenge

Fill Out a Free-to-Play Bracket to Win a Share of $1,000 in Casino Bonuses

We’re not horsing around – the NBA regular season might still be in limbo, but the league is staging a HORSE competition featuring active players and former stars. As part of the excitement, PlaySugarHouse.com in New Jersey lets you get in on the action with a free-to-play “April Madness” bracket that will award $1,000 in bonus money to the winners.

Here’s how it works.

The NBA Horse Challenge will be a single-elimination tournament. It’s like a March Madness bracket, but instead of 68 teams, there are only 8 individual participants.

  • First up, Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young will face off against former NBA Champion Chauncey Billups. The winner will advance and take on the winner of the match between Tamika Catchings (of WNBA stardom) and Mike Conley, Jr., from the Utah Jazz.

  • The other side of the bracket features Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine, who will challenge one the NBA’s all-time great clutch shooters, Paul “The Truth” Pierce. Oklahoma City All-Star Chris Paul will try to take down Allie Quigley, of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky.

Players will fill out a free bracket and earn points for each correct pick in the tournament. Players can make their picks starting Saturday morning, April 11, until 7 p.m. Sunday evening April 12th.  See the site for official rules.

Quarterfinals will be aired on ESPN on Sunday April 12 between 7 and 9 p.m. ET. The semifinals and Championship game will be aired on ESPN (and streamed on the ESPN app) on Thursday April 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
