No winning jackpot ticket was sold in Tuesday Night’s Mega Millions drawing resulting in an increase from $454 million up to $508 Million for the drawing next Friday. The winning numbers for Tuesday’s draw were: 29, 46, 53, 64, 73, and 10.
It’s now been four months since anyone has won the Mega Millions jackpot making it the “longest roll ever, by far” according to Paula Otto, executive director of the Virginia Lottery and lead director for Mega Millions. Tuesday’s draw marked the 34th time the jackpot has rolled over without a winner. The consecutive dry draws may be due to a lower number of players. Of course the odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot is roughly one in 292 million. Still, they can be won as seen in the highest jackpot hit ever, a staggering $1.6 Billion Powerball win split by players in three different states in January.
According to Otto, “It takes much bigger jackpots to get players excited. It looks like the tipping point might be right about now.”
You could be the big Mega Millions jackpot winner as the jackpot hit is way past due. Tickets are sold in 43 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
